Islam and Judaism: More Similar Than You Might Think

Islam and Judaism are like most organized religions. They preach adherence to ritualistic codes of conduct and behavior devoid of any real or personal relationship with the one true God.

With the assassination of Hamas leader Ahmed Al-Jabari, and Israel continuing to trade blows with her neighbors in what could result in a possible World War III scenario, it’s important that we don’t lose sight of the real source of the problem: the wiles of the enemy.

People want to forget or disregard the fact that there is such a thing as evil in the world. The Bible warns us, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12).

‘Spiritual wickedness’ is not metaphorical, or symbolic, but 100% real and verifiable. Whenever we hear stories about big foot, the Loch Ness monster, aliens, ghosts, or whatever, we shouldn’t dismiss them so quickly.

Eye-witnesses who report seeing strange figures or apparitions are definitely seeing something. It’s just not what they think they’re seeing. These witnesses are, quite simply, being toyed with by the very ‘spiritual wickedness’ the Word told us about.

Demons are shape-shifters and their goal is to deceive people from the truth. Through their subtlety, they convince vulnerable people that the Gospel is false by showing them various types of manifestations, depending on what the person is into.

If you’re into fortune-telling (expressly forbidden in the Bible), the enemy will show you cheap parlor tricks involving tarot cards and astrology to try to convince you of a power other than Jesus Christ.

If you’re into science-fiction novels, evolution, and star-gazing, the enemy will show you a manifestation of an otherworldly space-craft or U.F.O.

If you’re into trying to speak with dead relatives using spirit-mediums or the Quija board, the enemy will show you a manifestation where you seem to be conversing with the deceased, but in actuality is a demon.

However, people tend to forget that this ‘spiritual wickedness’ extends to mainstream pursuits as well!

If you’re politically-active and keep up to date with current events, the enemy will try to divide you against your fellow countrymen. He will get you to let hate and anger into your life, incite you through false and overtly partisan media coverage, and distract you from having a more active prayer life. He’ll make you believe you can only ever influence things through political activism and that God isn’t involved in a nation’s political process (He is).

If you’re a career-focused and ambitious person, the enemy will convince you that the solution to all your problems is climbing higher and higher up that corporate ladder, and that your financial freedom is just around the corner. That with a little more hard work and determination, you’ll have everything you need (except for God, of course).

If you consider yourself a “religious” person who devoutly attends weekly services, the enemy will do one of two things. Either he’ll convince you that faith is all just a dog and pony show to enrich greedy religious leaders are greedy or he’ll try to convince you that God is only concerned with religious observance, or the outward appearance of goodness, that you’re only saved through works and not grace through belief in Jesus. Unfortunately, this is why most purely “religious” people become atheists. They don’t learn to seek God in spirit and truth.

And this is what’s happened to today’s Jews and Muslims. They’re casualties of the spiritual war. They’ve been so destroyed by the lies of the enemy that they fight and murder each other, which is exactly what the devil wants. This is what happens when people are in spiritual darkness. This is how the enemy twists religion to his own ends in order to deceive people and bring souls to hell.

Islam is a religion that was directly given to Mohammed by a demonic entity posing as the Archangel Gabriel. This is why people who follow Islam end up becoming suicide bombers, or murdering ‘infidels.’ Everything in the Koran is in direct contradiction to the Word of God. Where the Bible says, “Turn the other cheek” the Koran says, “Fight in the cause of Allah.”

Modern-day Judaism is a little more complicated. The first Jews were God’s chosen people and still are, despite everything, however, they’re nonetheless under God’s judgement for sin and for failing to acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. The self-righteousness Sanhedrin of Jesus’ time had become so worldly that they no longer acknowledged the very real and dynamic spirit of the Living God, who provides for us and directs our paths every day. This is why they totally missed the latest move of the Holy Spirit, which was the coming of Messiah Jesus to destroy the works of the devil and set the captives free.

Kind of like the modern day Christian church, don’t you think?

So at the end of the day, Islam and Judaism are not pathways to the truth because there is only one way to be saved and that is through the blood of the lamb, Jesus Christ. “Believe on the Lord Jesus and thou shalt be saved and thy house” (Acts, 16:31).

It pains me to see how the spiritual wickedness in the world has totally perverted the truth to the point where brother is rising up against brother. Jews and Muslims are direct descendants of Abraham and should love another as members of the same family, but instead, they seek to kill each other.

It all comes back to the spiritual wickedness which is at work in the world. If Jews and Muslims stopped worshiping the idol of their cultural identity inherent in their respective religions, they would see the truth for what it is and come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior, bringing an end to the fighting forever.

If you’re a Jew or Muslim reading this, you can know the one true God in an authentic and personal way without having to set foot in a church, synagogue, or mosque. Cry out to Him right where you are and ask him to reveal Himself to you. Just talk to Him, have a conversation. He is faithful and will answer your prayers.
