Checking Your Faith-O-Meter
Rob Rennie | Sometimes a fast is the best thing you can do for your spiritual health. It’s in times of fasting that we draw closest to God.
I’m Rob Rennie and this is your minute of eternity. How full is your faith-o-meter? Let me rephrase that. Are you in full belief that you can accomplish anything you put your mind to as long as God is with you? If you are, that’s where you want to be, but if not, then allow me to suggest a fast. That’s right, no food, only water for a few days if not more. The reason why a fast helps to build your faith is because you’re forcing yourself to rely on God 100% for all your physical needs. Without food, the body doesn’t feel so great, but if you go into a fast with the belief that the Lord will provide for you, giving you spiritual sustenance and supernatural strength, then you’ll be amazed how readily the Lord will comply and make it a reality. He may also start to reveal incredible things to you he wouldn’t have otherwise revealed without you going on a fast. People often have amazing experiences with God while fasting.
